Every Van Gogh Gemstone jewelry piece is made with fine and/or sterling silver and carefully formed by an artist using dichroic glass.
This piece has beautiful golds, greens and yellows with blues flickering in it. It is semi transparent and has a pine tree carve through the back. From behind the tree appears to be a sparkling orange but then transforms into green when held up to the light. It is very unique.

What is dichroic glass? Dichroic glass is a color shifting glass made with multiple micro-layers of metal oxides deposited on the glass.
It is made by heating high quality art glass in a vacuum chamber, having a variety of metals vaporized by a laser in the chamber and then having those oxides fuse onto the glass in layers so thin that light can still pass through.
Each Van Gogh Gemstone can contain 3, 4, 5 or even more layers of dichroic glass as well as a base glass which can be transparent or opaque.
Each one is carefully made and often shaped and fired multiple times until the final desired result has been reached. Each is truly artist made.
